Helen trained at London’s prestigious Guy’s Hospital, and was awarded the London Bursary for Orthodontics whilst studying there, amongst other prizes for academic performance.
Helen has also worked in general dental practice, the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery unit at Musgrove Park Hospital, Taunton (gaining her Fellowship in Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh) and in a children’s and restorative dentistry position at Bristol Dental Hospital.
Three years postgraduate study at Bristol Dental School culminated in a Master’s Degree in Orthodontics, and Membership in Orthodontics (Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh). Helen taught orthodontics to dental students at Bristol Dental School for several years after moving into specialist orthodontic practice.
Helen has years of experience with all sorts of brace types, and enjoys variety in her clinical work – from complex children’s treatments, to lingual orthodontics and cosmetic treatments for adults. She finds it especially satisfying to help patients’ confidence grow as their treatment progresses.
Helen is recognised by the General Dental Council as a specialist orthodontist.

David is a GDC registered specialist orthodontist at Whitetree Orthodontic Centre. David’s specialist training and continuing education allow him to provide the full range of contemporary tooth straightening options, from tooth coloured fixed braces to Invisalign clear aligners and hidden lingual fixed braces.
David has a caring approach and enjoys formulating the best treatment for each individual patient. He aims to give his patients a confidence-boosting smile they can be proud of.
David graduated as a dentist in 2007 and gathered a wide range of experience working in general dental practice, oral and maxillofacial surgery and the community dental service in the UK and Australia. David then pursued his passion for orthodontics and was selected for orthodontic specialist training in 2012. He completed the 3-year training programme and has practiced orthodontics as a specialist since 2015. David is a member of the British Orthodontic Society and secretary for the Bristol Local Clinical Network for Orthodontics.
David lives in Bristol and loves keeping active with his wife and three young daughters.

Clare has been a Specialist Orthodontist for over 15 years. She carried out her specialist training in Bristol after qualifying as a dentist at Trinity College Dublin. She completed her consultant training in Cheltenham and Gloucestershire Hospitals. She has worked as a Consultant Orthodontist at Bristol Dental Hospital, treating patients and teaching undergraduate and postgraduate dental and orthodontic students.
Clare now works exclusively in Orthodontic practice in Bristol and uses a wide range of orthodontic systems, to treat patients of all ages, from growing children to adults. She is a Platinum Invisalign provider. She also works closely with other dental specialties in managing complex and joint cases.
Outside of work, Clare has a busy family life and enjoys social running and good food.

Qualifications: Lic Odont Spain 2009
Maria qualified as a dentist in Madrid, Spain in 2009. She enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, especially building relationships with her patients and enabling them to improve their overall dental health.
She moved to Cornwall in 2010 where she worked in a general dental practice and then to Bristol in 2012. Through that time Maria has started a family and worked in both NHS and private dental practices. She has enjoyed the varied treatments, including aesthetic procedures and root canal treatments. She especially enjoys helping patients reduce their anxiety.
In 2016 she did a certificate in Minor Oral Surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons which developed her skills in surgical extractions and has since attended several short courses to develop and broaden her skills. She is a member of the British Dental Association. Maria joined WhiteTree Orthodontic Centre in May 2023 to carry out the dental extractions.
Maria enjoys spending time outdoors with her family and visits to her home in Spain.

Qualifications: CEB Dip Dent Hygiene 1998
Claire qualified from Bristol Dental Hospital in 1998 as a Dental Hygienist. Since then she has worked in a private practice in Redland for over 18 years. We are delighted to have added her skills and experience to our team now. She works at our Bristol branch on Fridays.
On these sessions she is able to help, support and advise both children and adults with regards to maintaining good oral hygiene before, during and after treatment. Claire also scales and polishes the teeth, to maintain the health of our patients’ gums.
Working closely with the orthodontist and hygienist we hope that you will progress through treatment as smoothly as possible.

Jennie has been working in dentistry since 1999 after training at Bristol Dental Hospital. She gained various qualifications and after working as an orthodontic nurse she developed a keen interest for orthodontics, which later led to her qualifying as an Orthodontic Therapist with the Royal College of Surgeons in 2013. Jennie joined our team in February 2019.

Corrina qualified in 2013 with a diploma for Orthodontic Therapy from the Royal College of Surgeons after training at Bristol Dental Hospital.
Corrina had worked in orthodontic practice for 14 years before joining the Whitetree team in April 2019.

Nicki has almost 20 years’ experience in dentistry, 15 of which she has dedicated to orthodontics. She qualified as a dental nurse in 2001 working in a general dental practice for 4 years before specialising in orthodontics. Nicki enjoyed her role as a head nurse for many years, undertaking further training in dental radiography, impression taking, 3D scanning and achieved the national certificate in orthodontic nursing in 2010. Nicki joined Whitetree Orthodontic Centre in 2014 as a dental nurse and later practice administrator, and has most recently been promoted to practice manager.

Daisy trained in dental nursing at Bristol Dental Hospital. Daisy gained experience working in all aspects of dentistry including restorative dentistry, oral surgery, paediatric (children’s) dentistry and orthodontics. Since qualifying, Daisy has further developed her skills by qualifying in radiography and training in 3D scanning.

Jade qualified in 2007 with the NEBDN in dental nursing after a year of training at Bristol Dental Hospital. She worked in general practice until 2011 when she wanted a new challenge and moved to an orthodontic practice. Since then Jade has further developed her skills by qualifying in postgraduate courses such as radiography and impression taking. In 2017 Jade joined the team at Whitetree and has since enjoyed learning to use the 3D scanner. She can be found nursing twice a week with one day on reception.
Ellie started working at Whitetree Orthodontic Centre in May 2019. She currently works on reception 3 days a week. She is enjoying her role as a receptionist at the practice but as this is her first job in the dental industry she feels she still has a lot to learn. In the near future she hopes to take a course in dental nursing to progress her career further in dentistry and orthodontics.
